Lodestone Energy has announced a partnership with Haldon Station to construct a 220 MW solar farm on a 340-hectare site within the 22,000-hectare property in the Mackenzie District, New Zealand. The project, set to commence construction in 2025, will generate 340 GWh per year, powering around 50,000 homes with renewable energy. The site was chosen for its excellent solar potential, infrastructure access, and low visual impact. This project is part of Lodestone’s Phase 2 solar programme, which includes other solar farms in Clandeboye, Mount Somers, and Dunsandel, funded by a capital raise led by Forsyth Barr and Barrenjoey.
