Lightstar Renewables, a community solar developer, was acquired by an affiliate of Eagle Creek Renewable Energy. With a portfolio managed by Elda River Capital Management LLC and Magnetar, Lightstar possesses approximately 30 MW under construction in New York and a development pipeline of about 1.2 GW across the U.S. Under Eagle Creek's ownership, Lightstar aims to expand and become a premier community solar independent power producer in North America, transitioning its entire development pipeline to Eagle Creek. KeyBanc Capital Markets advised Lightstar on the acquisition. Eagle Creek is a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation, a major power generator in North America.
