Lightsource bp powers LyondellBasell with solar energy

LyondellBasell signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Lightsource bp in Spain, securing 149 MW of renewable electricity. This deal will provide 284,000 MWh of solar power annually, equivalent to powering 78,000 European homes, starting in 2026. The company aims to develop over 1 GW of PV projects in Spain and this project will help LyondellBasell reach 78% of its renewable energy goal. Schneider Electric advised LyondellBasell on the transaction.
