US-headquartered Green & Clean Power LLC (GCP) secured $300 million in financing to build a solar and battery storage facility in Osceola, Arkansas. The project included $165 million from KfW IPEX-Bank and $100 million from the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System. The facility was designed to supply 40% of Hybar LLC’s energy needs, a nearby steel rebar mill under construction. Hybar aimed to achieve low emissions through renewable energy integration. The project is also planned for a future connection to the MISO grid for third-party power sales. Both facilities were scheduled for completion by fall 2025.
