Civil construction underway for 1 GW PV project in Arizona by Jones Power

US-based Jones Power has secured contracts with two major EPC firms for large-scale solar and BESS projects in Arizona. The projects, located near Phoenix and Tucson, have capacities of 290 MW and over 1 GW, respectively. Construction of the projects began recently and is expected to conclude by 2025. Work at the Phoenix site may extend into 2026 or 2027. Jones Power’s scope covers erosion control, earthwork, road construction, and final seeding. The company employs its Power Forward apprenticeship program to meet Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) standards. Clients can opt for ongoing support for installation, electrical work, and maintenance. Jones Power’s teams also handle erosion management, dust control, and mowing. The company claims its dedication to prevailing wages and documentation ensures full IRA compliance.
