China-based Global solar IPP: Jinko Power Technology Co., Ltd. reached financial close and began preparations for constructing its 400 MW Tabarjal Solar PV Project in AlJouf Province, Saudi Arabia. The project, backed by long-term financing from Riyadh Bank and APICORP, followed Jinko Power’s previous 300 MW Saad project in the Kingdom. A 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) was signed in November 2023, with commissioning targeted for 2025. Spanning 260 hectares, the project aimed to expand solar capacity and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals. This addition brought Jinko Power’s total capacity in Saudi Arabia to 700 MW.
