JA Solar wins EcoVadis Silver Medal

JA Solar has been awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal for exceptional sustainability performance, scoring its highest with 62 points overall and 80 points in the environmental category. EcoVadis, a globally recognized platform, evaluates sustainability based on standards such as GRI, UNGC, and ISO 26000, focusing on environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Over 600 multinational procurement teams use EcoVadis ratings in their decisions. In 2022, JA Solar released its first Sustainable Development and ESG Report, setting strategic goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. According to the company, its motto “Together Towards Tomorrow” drives its efforts to address environmental, social, and governance challenges for a sustainable future.
