India’s rooftop solar capacity reaches 10.1 GW

According to Q3 2023 Mercom India Rooftop Solar Market Report, India recorded a 12% YoY increase, installing 1.3 GW of rooftop solar in 9M 2023. Q3 2023 alone saw a 34.7% YoY rise with 431 MW added. The cumulative rooftop solar capacity reached 10.1 GW by Q3 2023, with the residential segment driving growth due to lower component costs. the declination in the cost of rooftop solar systems is anticipated to drive C&I installations.
