Waaree Energies Ltd, a Mumbai headquartered solar module manufacturer, has expanded manufacturing operations. According to Waaree Energies Ltd, the company has added 1.5 GW solar module capacity at the Samakhiali manufacturing facility in Kutch, Gujarat. With this expansion, the Samakhiali facility has reached a total annual manufacturing capacity of 3 GW. The capacity addition has followed commissioning of two high efficiency module lines of 750 MW each. As per Waaree Energies Ltd, the Samakhiali site has incorporated advanced automation and integrated testing systems. Waaree Energies Ltd stated that the expansion has supported domestic manufacturing scale and supply preparedness. The company’s global solar module manufacturing capacity has reached about 22.3 GW across locations. India has accounted for nearly 19.7 GW, while the United States has represented 2.6 GW.
