Vikram Solar, an India-based PV module manufacturer has commissioned a 5 GW manufacturing facility at Vallam in Tamil Nadu. The Vallam site spans 27,000 sq. m and is built on TOPCon technology with provisions for HJT upgrades across M10, G12 and G12R formats. Vikram Solar has stated that the facility uses automated material handling, integrated quality checks and robotics-based processes. The company has added that modules from the site will supply utility-scale, commercial and distributed generation projects across India. The commissioning expands its existing presence in Tamil Nadu, including operations in Oragadam and a planned facility at Gangaikondan. Vikram Solar has reported that the plant lifts its total module production capacity to 9.5 GW
