Vikram Solar, Headquarterd in Kolkata & manufacturer of PV modules, has commissioned a 5 GW plant at Vallam in Tamil Nadu. The company also stated that this addition has increased it's total module capacity to 9.5 GW. The facility has incorporated automation systems that include robotics, material handling units, and integrated quality checks. According to Vikram Solar, the plant spans 27,000 square metres and is designed for TOPCon lines with HJT-ready provisions. The company stated that modules produced at Vallam will be supplied to utility, commercial, and distributed projects in India. Vikram Solar was also working toward building 40 to 50% gender diversity within the plant’s workforce.
