The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an MoU with the Smart Energy Council of Australia and Hinduja Group to generate employment in the renewable energy sector. UP Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh emphasized the need for skilled manpower to meet the state’s 22,000 MW solar capacity target. The MoU outlined collaboration for solar skill development programs, technology transfer, commercialization of renewable technologies, building solar and green hydrogen value chains, and supporting bilateral investments and student exchanges. The agreement, effective from 2025 to 2027, focused on workforce development, solar technology commercialization, supply chain growth, and green hydrogen and storage markets.The Smart Energy Council and Hinduja Renewables intended to facilitate technology and investment opportunities between Australia and India.
