The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and Central Electronics Limited (CEL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on August 22 in Lucknow to upgrade industrial infrastructure. The agreement has included provisions for renewable energy solutions, such as solar power integration, along with EV charging stations in industrial areas. It has also outlined the use of smart surveillance systems, access control, public address facilities, and a centralised monitoring dashboard. Alongside technology upgrades, the MoU has covered infrastructure modernisation and the introduction of capacity-building programmes for industries and stakeholders. UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari and CEL CMD Chetan Prakash Jain have signed the agreement. Officials stated that the partnership is aimed at strengthening industrial zones with advanced facilities, solar integration, and sustainable mobility across Uttar Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem.
