India-based Electrical Solutions Manufacturer, True Power Limited has begun construction of aINR 100 crore (~ $1.2 million) solar panel manufacturing plant in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The facility is planned to produce the capacity of 1 GW and is expected to create hundreds of direct jobs across various operational roles. According to True Power Limited, the project supports Uttar Pradesh’s goal of reaching 20 GW of solar capacity by 2027. True Power Limited has noted that central and state-level policy support influenced the investment decision. The facility is intended to support local module production, reduce import reliance, and contribute to solar component supply within India.
