India-based Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has commissioned NHPC’s 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan. The project was built under an EPC contract from NHPC. TPREL said the 450 MW DC / 300 MW AC plant was completed at Karnisar Bhatiyan in Bikaner. The company, a Tata Power subsidiary, works across several renewable technologies.The solar project has been developed for NHPC and is now operational. All generated power is supplied to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited. The commissioning has marked a key addition to NHPC’s growing solar portfolio. The plant was designed to support utility needs in northern India. TPREL has managed engineering, procurement, and construction responsibilities. NHPC is expanding utility-scale solar capacity across several locations. The project was delivered according to the planned schedule.
