TotalEnergies, a global integrated energy company, and Mistral AI announced a partnership to integrate artificial intelligence into low-carbon and renewable energy operations. A joint innovation lab will combine Mistral AI’s technologies with TotalEnergies’ energy expertise to create AI-driven tools. Initial applications include assisting 1,000 researchers, optimizing industrial asset performance, reducing CO₂ emissions, and improving customer energy management. The lab will also test digital tools for renewable energy production and assess AI infrastructure for European digital sovereignty. TotalEnergies has previously used AI in earth sciences, predictive maintenance, and equipment monitoring. Its Digital Factory, marking five years in operation, hosts 300 experts and has delivered over 100 digital solutions, including 60 using machine learning or generative AI technologies.
