Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, a Kolkata-based engineering and infrastructure firm under the Adventz Group, has commissioned a 10 MW captive solar plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The project was developed in partnership with AMP Energy India. It was executed under the Group Captive Open Access Policy. The plant is expected to generate over 15 million units of power annually. This energy will supply Texmaco’s Raipur facility, cutting grid reliance significantly. Annual carbon emissions may reduce by over 12,000 tons through this plant. The policy provides Texmaco with more control over its energy use. It also enables 30–40% cost savings compared to conventional power. Texmaco stated that the project aligns with its broader energy transition goals. The project was commissioned on July 18, marking a milestone in its clean energy efforts.
