Technique Solaire, a French independent renewable energy producer, has commissioned a 2.8 MW solar power plant in Haryana, India. The project forms the first phase of a planned 16.8 MW solar portfolio in the state. It is developed under the Government of India’s PM KUSUM scheme aimed at expanding decentralised solar capacity in rural areas. Once the full project becomes operational it is expected to generate about 26.4 million kWh of electricity annually. The electricity will supply power to local homes, farms and businesses. Representatives from Technique Solaire India attended the inauguration ceremony, including Managing Partner Manu Bishnoi, International Director Vincent Balès, and Investment Director Edouard Dazard. Technique Solaire currently operates around 210 MW of solar capacity in India.
