Tata Power Company Ltd, a Mumbai-based integrated power utility, has operated across generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy solutions in India, and according to Tata Power Company Ltd, its step-down subsidiary Tata Power Solaroof has achieved 1 GWp installed rooftop solar capacity during April–December FY26. The company said the milestone has been reached within nine months across residential and commercial and industrial segments nationwide. During the period, Tata Power Solaroof has added more than 1.7 lakh installations, recording 345 percent year-on-year growth compared with FY25. These additions have taken the total customer base beyond 3 lakh and cumulative installed capacity above 4 GWp. As per Tata Power Company Ltd, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd recorded its highest rooftop installations in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during the same period.
