India-headquartered Tata Motors signed a power purchase agreement with Tata Power Renewable Energy to co-develop a 131 MW wind-solar hybrid project. The project was planned to generate approximately 300 million units of electricity annually and offset over 2 lakh tons of CO₂ emissions each year. It was designed to supply green energy to Tata Motors’ six manufacturing plants in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The renewable energy was intended to support production across both commercial and passenger vehicle segments. The initiative marked a shift toward renewable integration in the company’s operations.
