Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), Mumbai-based renewable energy company, has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The MoU is to support rooftop solar adoption among MSME(Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)s in West Bengal. According to TPREL, the agreement has outlined awareness and outreach activities across industrial sectors to facilitate information sharing on rooftop solar systems. The company said that it's rooftop solar business, Tata Power Solaroof, has enabled rooftop installations totalling over 85 MWp in the state through a network of channel partners operating across industrial clusters. TPREL has operated in residential, commercial and industrial rooftop segments nationwide. Cumulative rooftop installations across India have crossed 3 lakh systems, corresponding to more than 4 GWp of installed capacity.
