Servotech Renewable Power System, an Indian manufacturer of solar energy solutions, has announced it had received an order to develop a 3 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project from the Northern Central Railway’s Agra Division. The project, valued at INR 13 crore (~$ 1.46 million), included design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar panels of different capacities across multiple railway locations in the Agra Division. The initiative was part of Indian Railways’ plan to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources and expand renewable energy use.
