Serentica Renewables has announced the development of a 170 MW solar-wind project to supply captive renewable power to MRF Ltd. through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The project, being established under a special purpose vehicle in which MRF holds a minority stake, will deliver electricity via the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) network to the company’s manufacturing facilities across India. By integrating both solar and wind energy, the facility is designed to provide continuous power supply under the captive framework. Established in 2022 and backed by a USD 650 million investment from KKR, Serentica has reached 1,000 MW of operational renewable capacity across multiple states and continues to develop firm, dispatchable renewable energy solutions for industrial consumers.
