Sembcorp Industries, a Singapore-based energy and urban solutions player, has successfully acquired ReNew Sun Bright Private Limited through its fully-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited. As announced by Sembcorp Industries, this acquisition involved purchasing a 100% equity interest in ReNew Private Limited. This newly acquired firm, ReNew Sun Bright Private Limited, possesses a 300 MW solar power plant situated in Fatehgarh. At the time of acquisition, this undertaking was already operational. It has been providing power through existing power purchase agreements. According to Sembcorp Industries, it now has 7.6 GW of renewable energy capacity installed and under development in India. Internationally, Sembcorp Industries has a 20.2 GW renewables business, which includes capacities under development.
