SECI has developed a 300 MW solar power plant at Ramagiri in Sri Sathya Sai district, spread across 1,047 acres. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually has inaugurated the facility during a programme held on Thursday.District Collector A. Shyam Prasad said Andhra Pradesh has produced nearly 5 GW of solar power. He added that the Ramagiri project is planned to raise capacity to 10 GW. He noted the project is expected to create jobs for local youth. He also said it will support welfare, education, healthcare, and infrastructure in the district. The Collector, along with SECI officials, unveiled commemorative plaques.
