Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN), Government of India-owned public sector enterprise headquartered in Shimla, has commenced operations of a 70 MW solar power project in Dhubri, Assam. The project added 70 MW of solar capacity to the regional power grid and expanded SJVN’s renewable energy portfolio. The facility strengthened the company’s presence in northeastern India and contributed to solar generation capacity in Assam. The project reflected SJVN’s execution of solar projects beyond its hydroelectric portfolio and its ongoing renewable energy deployment across multiple Indian states.
