Yeida (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) said it had allotted 200 acres in Sector 8 to SAEL Solar P6 Private Limited to set up an integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem with an investment of INR 8,200 crores (~$ 925.37 million). The state government had approved the mega project, and Yeida issued the allotment letter after receiving the government’s Letter of Comfort. The project was planned near the Yamuna Expressway close to Noida International Airport, and officials said it would support a manufacturing cluster in the region. SAEL’s unit was expected to include 5 GW TOPCon solar cell lines and 5 GW module lines. Officials said the location offered connectivity advantages and aligned with the state’s manufacturing-focused policies. SAEL Industries Limited, which operates solar IPP, module manufacturing, EPC, and waste-to-energy assets, was unavailable for comment.
