India-based steel manufacturer Rudra Global Infra plans to develop 30 MW of renewable energy capacity in Gujarat, mainly for captive consumption. As part of this initiative, it is constructing a wind power project with a capacity of 3.3 MW at an estimated cost of INR 32.28 crore (~ $3.87 million), of which about 75% is bank funded. The project is expected to be commissioned by December 2025 and is projected to generate around 11 million kWh of electricity annually. This will be the company’s fourth wind turbine, raising its total wind capacity to 8 MW and total estimated annual output to 17 million kWh. The remaining capacity in the 30 MW plan is likely to be fulfilled through additional solar or equivalent renewable projects.
