ReNew Photovoltaics, India-based solar manufacturing subsidiary of ReNew Energy Global PLC, is setting up a ₹ 3,990 crore(~ $481 million) ingot-wafer plant in Andhra Pradesh. The state investment board approved the 6 GW greenfield proposal in Anakapalli and forwarded it for Cabinet review. The project is backed by the national PLI scheme and is planned across 130 to 140 acres. The company has targeted construction completion by March 2026 and commercial operations by January 2028. The facility has required 95 MW round-the-clock power and 10 MLD water, This development has positioned Andhra Pradesh as a strategic solar manufacturing hub. The facility is expected to create nearly 1,200 jobs.
