India-based Reliance Industries has commissioned over 1 GW of BIS-certified solar panels at its Jamnagar facility. Reliance Industries has also outlined plans to produce 10 GW of PV modules, covering the entire value chain from polysilicon to finished panels. Reliance Industries is developing a 30 GWh advanced LFP battery manufacturing facility and will assemble battery energy storage systems for utility-scale use by 2025–26. It aims to operationalize a multi-GW electrolyser facility and expand green hydrogen capabilities through a licensing agreement with Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser AS. RIL (Reliance Industries Limited) is also progressing on compressed biogas projects, with seven plants operational and a target of 55 facilities. Land development is underway in Kutch and Kandla for renewable power, green chemicals, and transmission projects, with potential generation of about 150 billion units of electricity from Kutch.
