Premier Energies, an integrated solar cell and solar module manufacturing company, unveiled India’s first Zero Busbar (0BB) TOPCon solar cell at Intersolar Gandhinagar. The design marks a shift from conventional 10BB and 16BB architectures. It replaces thick silver busbars with a dense matrix of ultra-fine silver lines for current collection. The structure reduces silver consumption and minimizes shading losses. It delivers higher power output compared to traditional designs. The 0BB layout also improves mechanical flexibility and lowers interconnection stress. Enhanced resistance to micro-cracks supports long-term reliability in demanding Indian climate conditions.
