India-based data cente, Nxtra by Airtel has expanded its renewable energy agreement with Ampin Energy to over 200 MW. Under the latest deal, Nxtra will source an additional 125.65 MW of solar-wind hybrid power through ISTS-connected captive projects. The new capacity will be delivered in two phases via plants in Rajasthan and Karnataka. This follows two earlier agreements totaling about 75 MW sourced through intra-state open access in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Ampin is now set to supply renewable energy across 14 states using both inter- and intra-state channels. The company is also integrating large-scale ISTS systems and will act as a single IPP for seamless delivery. Nxtra stated the expanded partnership improves power reliability and enables nearly complete renewable transition across its data centers nationwide.
