India's NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has signed a Memorandum OfUnderstanding with the Goa Energy Development Agency to develop 300MW or more of renewable energy projects in Goa. The MoU was exchanged between Gauresh Ashok Pilgaonkar, Managing Director of GEDA, and Pushpendra Tyagi, CFO of NTPC REL, in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and other officials. GEDA(Goa Energy Development Agency) is currently the nodal agency implementing the rooftop solar subsidy scheme in Goa.The agreement may also include components related to energy storage.

The 300 MW MoU was signed on July 18 between NTPC REL and Goa Energy Development Agency in Goa aimed to develop renewables with potential storage.
