India-based renewable generation subsidiary of NTPC, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has developed the 1,255 MW Khavda I solar project in Gujarat. This project is commissioned under the CPSU Phase II Tranche III scheme. The company advanced construction in planned phases as various project sections moved toward commissioning readiness. NGEL said the most recent progress involved completing a 75.5 MW block that met technical and operational requirements. NGEL confirmed that this capacity has recently entered into commercial operation by following st andard procedural checks. NGEL reported that the commissioning raised its installed capacity from 7,563.58 MW to 7,639.08 MW. The company stated that remaining project elements continue under execution as installation and verification work proceeds.
