NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, have begun land development for a 25 GW solar park cluster across Rajasthan’s Bikaner and Jaisalmer districts. The work covered about 50,000 hectares of land and came after an MoU with the Government of Rajasthan. NTPC Rajasthan Green Energy Limited (NRGEL), is a joint venture of NGEL and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL), was setting up a 1.5 GW solar project in RVUNL’s Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner. Early-stage work and land preparation were underway, with both entities coordinating with state authorities for project rollout.It also supported India’s plan to achieve 500 GW of green energy by 2030.
