India-based power generation company NTPC Limited has declared commercial operation for part capacity of the Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. The declaration covers the second part capacity of 125 MW out of the total planned 500 MW. The commercial operation certification of the plant was granted by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited on 3 February 2026. The installation is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. Following the official confirmation, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 87.79 GW, while the group’s total commercial capacity has reached 86.71 GW. NTPC Green Energy Limited has also reported that its group-level commercial capacity increased from 8,688.25 MW to 8,813.25 MW after the commissioning of the 125 MW capacity.

NTPC has declared commercial operation for 125 MW of the 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project in Phalodi, Rajasthan, with the capacity becoming effective from 31 January 2026.
