NLCIL & APDCL partner for 500 MW solar project in Assam

APDCL and NLC India signed an agreement for a 500 MW solar plant in Assam, with 8,000 bighas of land allocated to NARL for project development.

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) & Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has signed an agreement for a 500 MW solar power project in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.  As part of the agreement, APDCL will transfer 8,000 bighas of land to NIRL Assam Renewables Limited (NARL), a joint venture between APDCL and NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), for setting up the solar project.The agreement was exchanged during the North-East Mining Ministers’ Conclave in Guwahati in the presence of officials from both organisations and state representatives.
