NLC India & RVUNL sign PPA for 810 MW PV project in Bikaner

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) has signed a PPA with NLC India Renewables for an 810 MW solar project in Bikaner’s Pugal Solar Park.

NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL), a subsidiary of NLC India Ltd, has signed a power purchase agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL). The agreement is for an 810 MW solar project. The project will be set up at Pugal Solar Park in Bikaner district. The project site is on barren land with high solar radiation. It was awarded through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The project was part of the 2 GW solar park being developed by RVUNL. NLCIL established 1 GW of renewable projects and continued its expansion with this project. It was expected to produce around 2 billion units of electricity annually and reduce about 1.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
