State-owned hydropower and renewable energy major NHPC Ltd at its Faridabad headquarter in Haryana announced the commercial operation of its 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan. As per NHPC,the commissioning happened after the final 85.72 MW phase was successfully trialled last week.NHPC  asserted that the entire project went fully operational on October 16, 2025, following approval from the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The solar plant is aimed at injecting power into the local grid and is a part of NHPC's diversified generation portfolio. The project is part of NHPC's continued development of large-scale solar assets under its overall renewable energy expansion in India.
