Haryana-based Maruti Suzuki India, an automobile manufacturer, has expanded its solar power capacity by 30 MW, reaching a total of 79 MW across sites. It commissioned 20 MW at its upcoming Kharkhoda facility and added 10 MW at the Manesar plant, up from 49 MW last year. The company increased its use of green power from State Electricity Boards to support its energy transition. Maruti Suzuki plans to reach 319 MW of solar power by FY2030-31, investing over INR 925 crore (about $108 million), aiming for 85% of its electricity to come from renewables.
