KPI Green Energy, an India-based renewable power developer, has announced that it secured a contract for developing a 100 MW solar power project under the captive power producer business segment. According to its regulatory filing, the order was awarded by multiple industrial investors under Gujarat’s Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy. The company’s subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia, will be responsible for implementing the project in line with the policy framework. The project is planned for completion in several tranches between 2026 and 2027. This development reflects the growing industrial participation in distributed renewable generation and marks a further expansion of KPI Green Energy’s portfolio in Gujarat’s renewable energy sector.
