India based KPI Green Energy has announced the commencement of power generation and supply from its 200 MW AC / 240 MW DC grid-connected solar project. The project was awarded by GUVNL through a competitive bidding process. The project is operated under a long-term PPA with GUVNL as the off-taker and achieved grid synchronization with initial power injection into the state grid. It formed part of the 1.8 GW GSECL Solar Park (South Block) in Khavda and was among the first projects commissioned at the site. With generation started, the project is expected to contribute to company revenues under contracted tariffs while supporting Gujarat’s renewable capacity expansion and utility procurement requirements.
