India-headquartered Jupiter International Ltd has secured an investment of INR 500 crore (~$58.08 million) from ValueQuest SCALE Fund and affiliates to support its solar manufacturing expansion. The company operated a 1 GW facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh and planned to scale it to 5.6 GW solar cell and 2.4 GW module capacity. The funding round and internal accruals were intended to fund ongoing capital expenditure. The company stated it manufactures photovoltaic solar cells and offers solar power solutions. ValueQuest described Jupiter as having the potential to scale operations and reduce import dependency through advanced manufacturing.
