Delhi-headquartered Juniper Green Energy commissioned the 59MW solar component of its hybrid power project in Wardha, Maharashtra, on June 6, 2025. The project was completed 17 months ahead of its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date, which is set for November 17, 2026. The project, known as the Juniper Green Power Five Project, has a total contracted capacity of 75MW under a Power Purchase Agreement. It comprises 75MW of solar power and an additional 26.4MW of installed wind capacity to support hybrid generation. The Power Purchase Agreement for the full 75MW was signed with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited on November 18, 2024. This solar commissioning marks a significant step toward the full operationalisation of the hybrid energy system.
