India-based JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).The agreement is for supplying 230 MW of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) under the SECI-FDRE Tranche IV scheme. This marks the company’s first agreement specifically for an FDRE project. The tariff has been fixed at INR 4.98(~ $ 0.0598 )per kWh for the entire contract period. The project will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling energy delivery across regions. With the signing of this agreement, JSW Energy’s total under-construction generation capacity increased to 12.9 GW. Additionally, the company’s total locked-in generation portfolio rose to 30.2 GW. JSW Energy is also aiming 40 GWh of energy storage and aims to reach an installed capacity of 30 GW by 2030. The agreement contributes to expanding the company’s long-term contracted portfolio and supports regulatory mechanisms for reliable renewable energy supply in India
