JMK Research & Analytics, an India-based cleantech consulting firm, has released its Monthly Renewable Energy Update for November 2025, analyzing capacity additions. The total renewable energy capacity of India has reached approximately 250.6 GW, following the addition of 31,057 MW of solar from January to October. In October 2025, solar and wind additions totaled 3,068 MW, representing a 34% decline compared to the October’s installations. Rajasthan led utility-scale solar additions in October with 675.4 MW, while Maharashtra led rooftop solar additions with 306.3 MW. In November 2025, total renewable energy generation was 18,134 MUs, reflecting an approximate 4% decline from October. This decline was primarily driven by a sharp contraction in wind generation of about 26.3%, although solar generation increased by approximately 6.3% during the same period.
