JA Solar, a Beijing-headquartered manufacturer of PV modules, has delivered a 1.58 MW rooftop solar project for Hengan Group’s Hunan factory. This Hunan factory is operated by Hengan Group, a Fujian-based producer of household paper products. The installation has used more than 2,500 modules supplied by JA Solar. The system was expected to generate around 1.33 million kWh of electricity each year, as per the project information released by JA Solar. The company stated that Hengan Group was projected to reduce about 1,328 tons of annual COâ‚‚ emissions through the rooftop system, and the project marked the second time JA Solar worked with the manufacturer on a facility-level deployment.
