The Odisha Government has allocated 70 acres to Inox Solar, a subsidiary of Inox Clean, for establishing an INR 4,000 crore (~$463.775 million) solar cell and module manufacturing unit in Dhenkanal. The proposed facility was planned to house a 4.8 GW solar cell plant and a 4.8 GW solar module plant. The investment was made by Inox Clean, which is part of the INOXGFL Group. The project received approval from the High-Level Clearance Authority. It was expected to create over 3,400 jobs and contribute to the region’s industrial development. The plant aimed to support India’s domestic solar manufacturing capacity expansion.
