Ingka Investments, an investment arm of Ingka Group, has started its first renewable energy project in India — a 210 MW solar plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan, under its INR 1,000 crore (~$ 112.65 million) clean energy plan. The project is ready to start construction soon and is expected to begin operations by December 2026. It will produce about 380 GWh of power every year and create around 450 jobs during construction and 10 to 15 jobs during regular operations. Ingka Investments worked with ib vogt Solar India for development, construction, and the initial three years of operations. The company had invested and committed €4.2 billion (~$ 4.8 billion) in renewable energy globally and allocated €7.5 billion (~$ 8.63 billion) to achieve full renewable energy consumption across its value chain by 2030.
