India’s Hindustan Power has won a SECI bid to develop a solar and storage project with a 150 MW contracting capacity. The award requires installing about 300 MW solar and 300 MWh BESS. The project was secured through tariff-based bidding and a completed e-Reverse Auction on the ETS portal. It is planned under the SECI–ISTS–XX tender and is allowed at suitable locations across India. SECI noted that integrated storage has supported grid reliability and peak-hour management. Hindustan Power is also commissioning a 435 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh. The company is also building a 100 MW solar plant and a 100 MW storage system in Assam. A 120 MWh storage project in Bihar is progressing. Hindustan Power has additionally won an SJVN contract for a 100 MW solar plant with a 200 MWh battery system.
